Land your RC plane on snow with RC plane skis

We're all too well accustomed to keeping our RC planes in the garage or basement during winter months. Well there is no need to think this way anymore, just add some RC plane skis on your model and enjoy flying the same way as if it was summer.

Since beginning or airplane modeling, RC controlled planes were exclusively used in dry weather. This old habit was imprinted in our mind so hard that most of us never even considered adding some accessories to our models in order to make them usable on snow. Well not any more - use RC plane skis to solve this problem.

Same as the airplane material - RC plane skis are usually made of plywood and can easily replace regular wheels we use when it's dry. Now, just by adding them to your plane doesn't mean you're ready to go - keep in mind that it's not the same thing landing at concrete, dirt or grass surface as landing on snow or ice ! You'll need some practice in order not to damage or break your plane.

You should also be aware of the fact that RC plane skis will come in contact with wet surface so it's good idea to put some wax on them - you may have a habit of waxing your plane already, but since it's usually not used when it's raining or snowing don't forget to do this - it will extend the life of your skis.
